16 to 19 Tuition Fund – Our Statement

The 16 to 19 tuition fund is one-off funding for the 2020 to 2021 academic year only. It is intended to mitigate  some of the disruption to learning arising from the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

This funding is being provided by the Department of Education to support additional small group tuition for 16 to 19 students in English, Maths and other courses where applicable.

AutismAble CIC will use its 16-19 Tuition Fund allocation to fund additional tuition, support and step-up classes to high needs learners with autism and associated learning differences  aged 16-24 who are on full-time study programmes. These students will benefit from small group support in progressing towards GCSE Maths and/or English and appropriate stepping stone qualifications.

Step-up classes shall be no bigger than 6 in total and the work will focus on meaningful Maths and English work as well as  projects such as Business Enterprise and Garden Management that embed both Maths and English.
