AutismAble hold the Matrix Standard which is awarded to Training Providers who are committed to delivering the highest standards of information, advice and guidance (IAG) services.
We ensure that all learners received quality assured and impartial IAG (Information, Advice and Guidance) throughout their courses by:
1. Training all staff to the Matrix standards for IAG.
2. Monitoring IAG (Information, Advice and Guidance) as part of continuous improvement checks.
3. Ensuring that all learners have access to weekly 1:1 sessions for personal guidance.
4. Ensuring that all learners receive two visits from a Career Advisor in an academic year.
5. Ensuring that all learners receive a transition and careers interview with our Employment Coordinator and learners with EHCP have an additional yearly transition meeting with SEN officers from the local authority.
6. Membership of the South Tyneside Training Provider Network (STTPN). The entire STTPN offer is made available to all learners who can request referral to any relevant course.
7. Ensuring that any learners who are considering university will receive supported visits to at least two universities with the disability support officer.
8. Maintaining partnership links to Autism Diagnosis Pathways, Social Care, Advocacy Services and Mental Health Support Services.
