Meet our members on work experience

Are you ready to meet some incredible individuals who’re making waves in the world of work? This World Autism Acceptance Day, we’re thrilled to introduce you to some of our talented members who are gaining valuable work experience with our partners.

If you’ve ever visited Sea Change Cafe on Ocean Road, you might recognise some of our stars: Simon, Jonny, Shaun, and Fari. Or, perhaps you’ve stopped by Works of Art and had the pleasure of meeting Hannah, Gemma, or Scott. These remarkable individuals are part of our community, and we couldn’t be prouder of the progress they’ve made.

At our weekly EmployAbility sessions, our members are equipped with a variety of skills that help them become more independent, including travel training, CV writing, and interview preparation.

We believe that everyone deserves the chance to shine, which is why we’re dedicated to helping our members achieve their goals. In fact, our cafe Sea Change and our art gallery, Works of Art, were created to provide meaningful work experience opportunities for our members. We wanted to ensure that our community had access to the resources they needed to succeed, and we’re delighted to see the progress they’ve made.

We’re not just a service for adults with autism and learning disabilities; we’re a community that’s dedicated to supporting each other and proving that anything is possible. We hope that our success will inspire other businesses to provide similar opportunities for individuals with autism and learning disabilities.

This World Autism Acceptance Day, we celebrate the achievements of our members and look forward to continuing our work in providing opportunities for all.
