Study Programme Personal Development & Employability Skills (Entry Level - Level 2 )
Our Study Programmes are suitable for learners aged 16-19 or aged 16-25 if you have a valid Educational Health Care Plan.
• You will study Personal Development and Employability modules including : Working with others, Life Skills, Communication Skills, Business Enterprise, Employability, Digital Skills for Work.
• You may need to study Maths and English if you don’t already have a GCSE grade C or 5.
• You will also have opportunities to try different work placements, play sports, go on educational visits, use media and music studios and achieve the Arts Award (these activities are optional)
• At the end of the course you will receive an NOCN Certificate in Personal Development. We currently offer this course at Entry Level 2 through to Level 2.
• This course is based in South Shields. You will be assigned your own Support Worker and Learning Mentor for this course and you may be eligible to receive a weekly bursary depending on your circumstances

Study Programme Business Studies (Level 1 – Level 2)
- You will study Business modules including : Working with others,Customer Service, Planning Events and Meetings, Communication Skills, Business Enterprise, Employability, Digital Skills for Work.
- You may need to study Maths and English if you don’t already have a GCSE grade C or 5.
- You will also have opportunities to try different work placements, life skills, play sports, go on educational visits, use media and music studies and achieve the Arts Award (these activities are optional)
- At the end of the course you will receive a Highfield NVQ Certificate in Business. We currently offer this course at Entry Level 2 through to Level 2.
- This course is based in South Shields. You will be assigned your own Support Worker and Learning Mentor for this course and you may be eligible to receive a weekly bursary depending on your circumstances.

Study Programme Digital Skills (Level 1 –Level 3)
- You will study a wide range of digital skills modules with the option of specialising in either Music, Media or ICT. Modules include : Pro Audio Skills, Digital Media , Digital Imaging, Audio Software, Video Software, Planning Events and Meetings and Digital Skills for Work.
- You may need to study Maths and English if you don’t already have a GCSE grade C or 5.
- You will also have opportunities to try different work placements, life skills, play sports, go on educational visits, use media and music studies and achieve the Arts Award (these activities are optional)
- At the end of the course you will receive an NOCN Certificate in Digital Skills. We currently offer this course at Entry Level 2 through to Level 2.

Functional Skills English (Entry Level 1-Level 2)
Our functional skills courses are delivered by specialised tutors who will assess you at a suitable starting point and help you create priority goals for achievement.
- We are approved to deliver the full range of qualifications from Entry 1 to Level 2
- We offer flexible course delivery and assessments with a choice of onscreen and paper delivered assessments available to learners ‘whenever ready’.
- Result notification is usually within 14 working days of completed assessments.
- These courses are open to any adult over the age of 19. You do not need a diagnosis of Autism to attend.
- Additional classroom support is available, either group or 1:1 where needed .
- We have courses available in South Shields and Sunderland.
- Accreditation is by NOCN (The National Open College Network)
- These courses are free of charge.

Why choose this qualification?
This qualification is part of a suite of Education and Training qualifications incorporate the new qualifications that replace the Level 3 Award in Preparing to teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS), Level 4 Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector(CTLLS)and Level 5 Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (DTLLS).
The qualification is for learners:
