Introduction

Fari joined AutismAble CIC in 2016, just one year after our service was created. Since then, he has been an important part of our community, taking part in our four core pathways: EmployAble, AchievAble, SociAble, and ExpressionAble. Along the way, Fari has developed a wide range of skills, has contributed significantly to our service, and has inspired those around him with his determination.

Achieving Paid Employment

As part of the EmployAble pathway, Fari completed a work placement at our partner café, Sea Change CIC. His dedication and hard work throughout his placement led to him becoming a paid employee through Access to Work in 2024. Fari has thrived in his role at Sea Change, gaining key experience in various front-of-house duties such as:

• Greeting customers with a warm and friendly welcome
• Taking orders efficiently and accurately
• Cleaning tables and organising cutlery
• Ensuring the café is always clean and in top condition

Outstanding Contribution to Fundraising

Fari has a particular passion for fundraising, especially organising raffles. During our 2024 Summer of Achievements Award Ceremony, Fari was awarded his second Outstanding Contribution to Fundraising Award. This was to recognize his incredible efforts and success in single-handedly raising thousands of pounds for our services.

Throughout his time with AutismAble CIC, Fari has developed multiple skills that have not only enhanced his personal growth but also benefited our community. His journey with us is a shining example of the success and impact our pathways have on our members. We are incredibly proud of Fari’s achievements and look forward to supporting him as he continues to grow and succeed.
